Committees are advisory institutions of the Bar Council, established to ensure high-quality and comprehensive solutions to issues arising in the activities of the Lithuanian Bar Association, lawyers and lawyers’ assistants and to increase lawyers’ involvement in strengthening the guarantees of activities of the Lithuanian Bar Association.
Committees’ functions:
- to analyse issues relating to the application of legal acts within their respective areas of activity (in connection with the professional activities of lawyers and lawyers’ assistants);
- to monitor amendments to legal acts, prepare proposals for their amendment, and submit such proposals to the Lithuanian Bar Association;
- to implement the goals assigned by the Bar Council.
